Sponsored Membership Program

 

Our Sponsored Membership Program provides memberships to vendors who cannot afford to join Inclusive Kentucky Weddings but believe strongly in our mission. Memberships are donated by other vendors, local businesses who want to support the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals like you!

 

Applying to receive a Sponsorship

If cost is the only thing keeping you from becoming a member of Inclusive Kentucky Weddings, we invite you to apply for a sponsored membership! Sponsored memberships are awarded on a rolling basis as funding becomes available, so applications are open year-round.

The sponsored-membership program pairs sponsors with recipients to subsidize the cost of joining Inclusive Kentucky Weddings. As a sponsored member, your annual membership fee is paid in full by a donation.

All members receive a listing in our directory, access to educational content designed specifically to educate vendors on how best to serve the LGBTQIA+ community, discounts on paid services, as well as a membership badge to use on their company’s promotional materials and/or website.

Sponsoring a Member

By providing memberships to those who have a financial barrier, you are investing in a more inclusive and diverse community of professionals who are committed to making the wedding industry more welcoming, affirming, and equitable.

Sponsors receive a social media shoutout & if you are connected to a company/business we will also link to your website on our page as a thank you! 

What happens when the sponsored year is up?

Sponsors have the option of being notified when their sponsee’s membership is up for renewal so that they can offer support for another year. Sponsees can apply for financial assistance for an additional year, or they can choose to renew their membership on their own if they are in the position to do so.

HOW TO APPLY & IMPORTANT DETAILS

If cost is the only thing keeping you from becoming a member of Inclusive Kentucky Weddings we would like you to have the chance to join our community! Please apply only if the cost of a membership is out of reach for you at this time. 

Previous applicants and recipients are encouraged to re-apply. 

The application process is simple. In addition to providing some basic details about yourself and your business, please be prepared to provide short answers (250 words or less) to the following:

  • Why do you want to become a member of Inclusive Kentucky Weddings? Please share a bit about why inclusivity is important to you.

  • Tell us about yourself and your business. Please share any additional details that may be relevant to your application.

Sponsorships will be awarded to applicants who are passionate about creating a welcoming environment for their clients and who demonstrate a commitment to implementing the resources Inclusive Kentucky Weddings provides.
